OpenDANS and Research

OpenDANS provides scientists with free access to real production data from various industry partners. Mechanical engineers, industrial engineers, mathematicians, and management scientists can all benefit from this project. OpenDANS also enables small research groups that previously had no access to industry data to develop and optimize practice-oriented research.

Equipping scientists with the means to conduct comparable and reproducible research using the real data provided is intended to facilitate the transfer of their work into industrial practice. OpenDANS thus helps to bridge the gap between research and practice
