OpenDANS and Industry

OpenDANS' industry partners provide selected production data of their choice, which is anonymized so that no conclusions can be drawn about the company. By strategically providing selected real data, industry partners can encourage researchers to examine their own production conditions. In this way, industry partners gain innovative and new ideas for planning and controlling their production.

The more data is provided, the more comprehensive the researchers' results will be. For example, newer technologies such as artificial intelligence or machine learning can be better trained and utilized on large data sets. Since industry partners can see the results of various methods tested with their data, they can more easily decide how they want to optimize their production. In this way, OpenDANS supports technology transfer from researchers to industry.
