Kickoff - Project OpenDANS started

We are pleased to announce the launch of the EFRE-funded project OpenDANS – Open Data for Sustainable and Scalable Production Research.
As part of the project, we are working to establish synergistic collaboration between science and industry by building an open database for standardized production data. Researchers will gain access to real-world datasets, significantly enhancing the practical relevance of their research outcomes. At the same time, companies will benefit from direct access to methods and analytical approaches.

The open exchange of standardized real-world datasets creates synergies, improves applicability, and enhances the scalability of research results in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Twins. This leads to substantial benefits for researchers, strengthens the research landscape in Saxony-Anhalt, and boosts the efficiency and sustainability of local businesses.

The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE) and will run until December 2027.
